Information about the position

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join the Order domain within Vinted Product Engineering. You’ll lead the team focused on Returns & Disputes — a critical part of the member experience where trust, transparency, and resolution matter most.

This team operates in an EPDA setup, collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Analytics to build seamless, intuitive solutions that empower members to resolve issues independently and confidently. Your mission will be to reduce friction, make complex processes feel simple, and turn potentially negative experiences into moments that reinforce trust in Vinted.

You’ll contribute to Vinted’s broader ambition to make second-hand the first choice across Europe, helping shape how we handle returns and disputes at scale — fairly, efficiently, and with empathy.

In this position, you’ll

Be accountable for:

  • People in the team (ensuring that we have great people working in true harmony)
  • Processes and procedures in a team (working in the right ways on the right things)
  • Delivery management (get stuff done)
  • Engineering quality – fostering high standards in code, architecture, and technical practices to ensure sustainable, reliable solutions

In practice, it means:

  • Lead a cross-functional product team in close partnership with Product, Design, and Analytics
  • Work with ±10 engineers that you would be leading to improve the end-to-end member experience when orders don’t go as planned
  • Build a strong team culture rooted in trust, ownership, and continuous learning
  • Foster growth in others while growing as a leader yourself
  • Ensure the team’s delivery according to the quarterly roadmap
  • Creating an environment where quality is not just expected — it’s second nature

Your future fellow engineering managers in Order are defining what they do as follows:

  • “Guiding the team to unlock their full potential, break through limits, and create something truly meaningful. We're driven by bold goals — and fully committed to making them a reality.” - Edvinas
  • “Inspiring people to become better versions of themselves, sometimes letting them fall and helping them get up, or finding a way to get up themselves” - Gediminas

About you

  • Like getting things done and done well
  • Have experience leading a software engineering team and delivering outcomes that you are proud of
  • Know how to improve team efficiency
  • Like working with people and helping them
  • Know a thing or two about stakeholder management
  • “Embracing uncertainty” is a phrase that does not scare you
  • You can easily articulate the following terms: service-oriented architecture, monolithic vs modular architecture, tight vs loose coupling, technical debt, etc. You don’t have to know them in-depth, but a basic understanding will help you perform better by a mile

Work perks

  • The opportunity to benefit from our share options programme
  • 25 working days of holiday
  • Newest MacBook models
  • Mental and emotional health support through the Mindletic app
  • Home office support: we provide IT workstation equipment and a personal budget of up to €540 for home workplace furniture
  • A daily lunch allowance
  • Private health insurance
  • Frequent team-building events
  • A personal monthly budget for shopping on Vinted
